Women's Self-Defense Class

An Important Lesson Taught before the Holidays

December 23

Before the holidays began, our Bothell location held a women’s self-defense class to both members and nonmembers of the club.

“We decided to host a women’s self defense class as a way to empower and give back to our members. To let them know that they are stronger than they believe. In the age that we live in, you can never have enough tools in the box to defend yourself.” – Chase Buckles, General Manager at Gold’s Gym Bothell

The class was taught by Active Martial Arts owner Jeff Kyle and his son.  They focused on self-defense basics which included falling safely, how to get up, protecting yourself and commanding your presence in an unsafe area.  Comfortability was an important concept – feeling comfortable within the class and practicing as well as when noticing danger outside the class.  The class was not only informative but fun too!

We will be hosting another class on Saturday, February 10th at 4PM. See the Bothell Front Desk to sign up.

Or if you would like to get more information visit the Active Martial Arts website at www.TrainAMA.com.
